"For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink." We all hunger in the body. Jesus calls us to acknowledge our spiritual hunger as well. While physical hunger is easy to discern, spiritual hunger is more difficult to determine. Some of its symptoms are anger or anxiety, boredom or restlessness, dissatisfaction with life. Every human being is both physical and spiritual. We need to nourish both our body and soul.
Jesus Christ is the Bread of Life. The Bread of Life satisfies our spiritual hunger, no one else can. At the Holy Mass, we encounter the Bread of Life. We not only encounter Jesus Christ, but receive His very Body and Blood. His Body and Blood are the spirit's true food and drink. The Eucharist satisfies our deepest needs.Catholics in Action invites you to attend the Tuesday Night Mass. It is a chance to encounter our Lord Jesus Christ in the middle of the week.
